What’s Happening In Dart League

Bad Weather

When the weather is bad, Racine Amusement does not cancel dart leagues. The decision to reschedule is left up to the individual teams. If your team feels the need to reschedule a match because of the weather (safety first !) contact the team you are playing that night ….. and if your team is contacted about rescheduling because of the weather, show some sportsmanship and do not try to get a forfeit out of it (no one has to forfeit because of the weather)and then get the match played ASAP. Remember, some teams have players that don’t live inside the Racine city limits and if the weather is bad enough, it may not be safe for them to drive.

Message to all leagues…..if you add someone at the board, put in a full name. When a players name is added at the board that does NOT immediately put that person on your roster and give them a handicap. They will shoot that night with NO HANDICAP and after that night of league play, if there is room on your roster that player will be added to your team and from then on, will get a handicap. If your roster is full, the player added at the board will NOT be on your roster. They will be on the standings under the team name of “Subs” and will NOT get a handicap.

If a team has to add 3 players at the board in order to play league, then handicaps must be adjusted down to zero for both teams and no handicap used. You adjust down to zero in the screen with player names. Hit the up button until the cursor goes over to the side with numbers and hit enter. Choose “down” until the numbers are at zero for all players. If less than 3 players are added at the board on that night, then normal handicapped league is played.

Here’s a quiz for you …….Ok, so you lose a game (it happens sometimes) and you ask the winners what they want to drink and one of them orders a Long Island Ice Tea which sells for $6.00.  Do you …..

A.   Order the drink and pay the $6.00

B.   Demand the bar only charge you $3 because “That’s what it says in the rules”.

C.    The bar charges their normal $6, you pay $3 and the person who wanted a $6 drink pays the $3 difference.

The correct answer is “C”.

The rules do not state that any bar has to change their prices during league or that everyone has to start drinking things that cost $3 or less. If you win a game and order something that costs more than $3, expect to kick in the difference (or at least offer to). Respect the policies of each tavern. Let’s have a little friendly competition and lots of fun!
